There is an account with a negative (credit) balance. I have created a Point of Sale invoice on the account and made a payment, but the Point of Sale invoice is not showing up on the statement following it.

The Point of Sale Invoice is an estimate, which does not affect the balance of the account. In order for the Point of Sale invoice to count you must convert it from an Estimate to an Invoice by clicking the Invoice Estimate button while viewing the invoice.
